Sean graduated from The University of Otago Medical School in 1990. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgery and has had additional training in both Australia and the UK. He is a member of the New Zealand Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and the Australian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery
